The Connector - Microsoft Project to Atlassian JIRA Integration

Version 1.3 Release Notes

New Features

Issue Linking

The ability to exchange JIRA issue links with MS Project has been added. This ability allows you to map JIRA issue link types to things like the predecessor field or successor field in MS Project. Various types of linking rules can be applied. For example, you can configure a rule that will allow you to exclude an issue if it contains a link of a specified type.

Worklog Detail

The ability to import JIRA worklog detail has been added. This allows the breakdown of the date and amount of work performed to be imported into MS Project and that detail preserved.

Check For Updates

The new version now has an option to check for updates. When new versions are released, the software will prompt you informing you of the update.

Activation Process

An activation process has been added with the release of version 1.3. This process will require you to register your product key to activate and use the full version of The Connector.

Debug Logging

Version 1.3 adds some debug logging to help make it easier to support and track down configuration errors.

Bug Fixes

  • Fix an issue where the task duration in JIRA would be one day greater than the task in MS Project.
  • Fix to the “Include Subtask duration in parent” option of the Update From JIRA. Previous version was incorrectly summing the sub-tasks and adding them to the parent duration when this option was selected.

Enhancements

Warning messages when you check a field to exchange with JIRA that you do not have mapped in MS Project. Previous versions would not warning you and users were left wondering why their data was not updated.
